JOB SUMMARY

If you are a Pharmaceutical Recipe aficionado looking to make a major impact on new Life Sciences products developed by a world class Product Development organization, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!
Based in Singapore, the Product Owner will work alongside a team of talented software development professionals to bring to life a new to the world recipe experience as part of our Life Sciences R&D Team. The R&D Team will design, develop & verify the software and digitalized production platform that aims to greatly reduce the time required for our customers to bring new medications to the market. You will guide and influence the team to ensure solutions delivered achieve the desired business objectives and meets the needs of our customers.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

• 6 to 10 years of progressive Life Science experience, including five (5) years of recipe authoring experience
• Experience in Product Development
• Experience working in an Agile Development environment
• Solid domain knowledge of Life Science Processes

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

• Provide the voice of the customer to the team to ensure they understand how the work they are doing relates to the needs of the business and our customers.
• Collaborate with the development team to define objectives and ensure the team remains focused on meeting those objectives.
• Work with Product Manager to define features for development.
• Own the team’s backlog and prioritize user stories to meet the needs of the business and our customer in the most effective way possible.
• Work with the Scrum Master to identify, manage, and coordinate dependencies with other teams.
• Actively seek feedback from business stakeholders and relay it to the team

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field, including leadership, an advanced degree (i.e., Masters, PhD) will substitute for one year of experience
• The ability to clearly communicate technical topics at a variety of levels to different audiences within the department
• Self-motivation and ability to work independently and in a team
• Excellent communication and time management skills
