We are looking for a driven and experienced Product Owner to join our NCR Atleos Terminal Handler team, based at the NCR Atleos Discovery Centre R&D site in Dundee. You will be responsible for enabling Agile teams’ delivery of innovative solutions for the financial services market, with a focus on Enterprise Self-Service Transaction Processing. As a product owner, you will be working with developers, architects, product managers, other product owners and senior stakeholders within a Scaled Agile Framework portfolio. Driven to convert vision into amazing customer software, you will be redefining how financial transactions are acquired, managed and processed across multiple channels.
Package Available: £55-72K (depending on experience) + Attractive Bonus plus benefits package

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with Product Management to implement the roadmap by helping to develop and shape features which meet the requirements.
  • Collaborating with technical architects to understand the functional and non-functional requirements needed to achieve the best quality product without over-engineering
  • Enabling the team to execute frequent, reliable and continuously release value-added, system-level software.
  • Remaining continuously involved in the product lifecycle to help broker agreements between stakeholders and engineering teams on the key priorities to ensure requirements are properly met.
  • Prioritizing defects and enablers alongside functional and non-functional requirements
  • Building and reprioritizing the work and story back-log of the team when organizational priorities change.
  • Working with the team to define and implement improvement stories that will increase the quality of the program.

To be successful in this role, you will have at least 5 years’ experience in the financial industry with at least 2 years’ experience as a Product Owner. This includes proven experience with:

  • Strong knowledge of Agile development practices, methodologies (especially Scrum and the Scaled Agile Framework) and tools.
  • Hands-on experience writing features and user stories, grooming product backlogs and coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to understand and abstract complex systems from technical descriptions.
  • Ability to thoroughly understand complex business and technical issues and influence decision making at all levels of the organization without formal reporting structure authority.
  • Experience working on large products for external enterprise customers.
  • Familiar with Self-Service Transaction Processing technologies.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Exposure to cloud-based software deployments is advantageous.
