Product Owner - SAP BI Platforms

Job Purpose
You will play a crucial role in shaping the basis and data fundamentals of Data Analytics and actively contribute to the success of the digital transformation at ZEISS. In this challenging function the Product Owner is a key role responsible for leading the development, management, and optimization of a system platform to meet business requirements. The Product Owner will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure the system platform meets the business needs and is aligned with the company’s strategic goals.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a roadmap to ensure timely delivery of product features and enhancements for SAP BI cross-platform functionalities
• Define, prioritize and manage the product backlog items, including creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and ensuring alignment with Platform and Development teams goals
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Analytics, Data Integration and Data Governance to ensure product requirements are delivered on time, within budget and in compliance with Zeiss rules and policies related to security and GDPR.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify key market trends and opportunities, and provide recommendations to Cloud and OnPremise Platform Leads to drive product innovation
• Conduct user research and analysis to identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities to enhance user experience with platform integration and architecture framework. Organize developer trainings
• Support Platform Leads on providing a Data Quality and Monitoring framework for data consistency improvement and optimization
• Continuously improve the product by gathering feedback from users and stakeholders, and incorporating it into the platforms development process
• Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and industry trends to inform Platform strategy and roadmap having Cloud as preference.

Education & Work Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in product management or related field
• Strong understanding of software development processes, including Agile methodologies
• Knowledge on architecture set-up for On-Premise and Cloud Platforms.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex product issues
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong leadership skills to lead and motivate cross-functional teams towards common goals
• Advanced English language skills
• Experience working within an international environment
