The Role
As a Product Owner, you will play a key role in bridging the product management and development teams, while maintaining alignment with other teams in a complex and innovative program within the fire detection industry.
How You’ll Make Impact
- Collaboration in the development team in a geographically distributed setting: Works closely with the embedded software development team as product owner and applies the SAFe framework at team level to support agile working methods.
- Feature Refinement: Collaboration with product managers, other product owners and development architects to refine features at the SAFe program level and prepare them for development.
- Team Backlog Management: Responsible for the refinement of the team backlog, including prioritization of user stories and bugs. Leads the moderation and coordination to ensure that all tasks are clearly defined.
- Coordination with other teams: Coordinates regularly with other development teams, HW, testing, production, sensor technology, to clarify dependencies and address potential problems at an early stage. Find the optimal balance between program and team objectives.
- PI Planning: Moderation and execution of PI Planning breakout sessions. Prioritization of features together with the product managers.
What’s Important to us
- Several years of professional experience in the role of developer or product owner
- Experience in software or firmware engineering, or experience as product owner in an Embedded projects is a plus
- Knowledge of Confluence and Jira tools
- Experience in requirements engineering and agile methods is an advantage.
- Knowledge in SAFe agile methodology is a plus
- Bachelor’s in electrical engineering, telecommunications, computer science, or equivalent
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work effectively in an agile environment
- Clear and effective communication with stakeholders, team members, and customers is vital. This includes the ability to articulate the product vision, requirements, and feedback
- Team player, able to deal with diverging requirements and expectations and to mediate between the different positions of the various stakeholders
