How you will create an impact
An Agile Coach will drive a culture of continuous Agile capability improvement through technology solutions delivery by mentoring, training, and engagement with product teams and senior leadership.
This person will be part of the Program Delivery Office and will report directly to the Head of the Agile PMO. The organization is looking to become more Agile in our way of working and the Agile Coaches are central to driving that change.
We use the SAFe framework to talk about Agile concepts and are using that as a guide in our conversations about where we want to go. The Agile Coach should have working knowledge and experience applying SAFe concepts into a large organization.
Demonstrates appreciation of the depths of Agile practices and principles and helps the teams appreciate them.
Arms Agile teams with the right knowledge, tools, and training so that they become fully functioning, self-sustaining and accountable.
Drives organizational change, in addition to Agile best practices and capabilities within the team, enabling the team to adopt and take ownership of their individual roles.
Supports team to navigate through the rough patches, common roadblocks, and pain points (especially early in the adoption process).
Escalates issues and drives change to remove impediments to the Team’s Agility Transformation when applicable
Articulates and helps leaders at all levels of the organization, both business and technology, understand the benefits of working Agile.
What you’ll need to succeed
Ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed environment. We are a global company with team members in different parts of the company across the world.
Passionate about communication, group dynamics, and coaching others.
Curiosity. Leads with questions and drives to get answers. Helps the team learn through guided discovery.
Determination. Takes ownership for their accountabilities and understands that they are empowered to help drive change.
Cultural adaptability. Virtual and remote team management ability.
SAFe SPC certification is required
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Experience with Rally software is preferred
10+ years of technology delivery experience, with 4+ years as an Agile coach
