Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Available as a result of an internal promotion, the Product Sales and Business Development Manager will cover Screw Compressor Package Sales for the Americas Region. They will have the following main responsibilities;

  • Delivery of growth plans by achieving budgets/targets through existing markets whilst rapidly developingnew market and application opportunities. Work closely with Regional Teams to deliver bookings
  • Develop clear strategies on product and specific applications approach to support Global Howden bookings anddeliver through focused business development approaches. Develop Global commercial organization to increasescrew product capability/knowledge across wider Howden organization
  • Work in close collaboration with the Sales Support (Technical Sales Engineers) to continually improvethe speed, accuracy and effectiveness of project proposals

WHAT WILL YOU DO…

  • Subject matter expert from technical applications and market knowledge perspectives for this application/market for Screw compressors in Howden.
  • Identify high priority customers and opportunities that will deliver the budgeted bookings for the application assigned.
  • Manage all elements of the Sales and BD process from strategy development and planning to budgeting/forecasting, bid management and key customer account management within allocated Application focus.
  • Leadership of product and service diversification. Develop solutions which are aligned to challenging markets by driving simplification and standardization in all aspects of the Howden offer.
  • Work with Marketing Manager to develop focused marketing plans and campaigns using a variety of media and delivery approaches. Create and execute Application specific marketing strategies.
  • Develop existing clients and identify potentially new clients through direct contact and in giving presentations on the company’s products and capabilities.
  • Solicit enquiries for the supply of packaged screw compressor projects, influencing clients where possible to specify Howden.
  • Support the team in the preparation of tenders and further clarification of clients and company requirements.
  • Work with Regional Teams to negotiate contracts with clients while maintaining agreed contribution levels.
  • Ensure, negotiated contracts are correct and of sufficient detail to pass to the Project Management for execution.
  • Assist, when required, in liaison with clients after orders have been received.
  • Utilise Salesforce in recording enquiries, proposals, turndowns and ensuring sales forecast is accurately reflected.
  • Support the development and management of established agents in assigned geographical region.
  • Ensure adherence to company environmental, health and safety standards in compliance with company policies to ensure a safe working environment and the minimisation of environmental impact.
