Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity in our Toyota University (TU) Department. This is a 12-month contract/acting opportunity and will report to the Manager, Product Education. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to provide the strongest possible basis for vehicle sales and customer satisfaction by educating Toyota Dealership Product Advisors in relation to Toyota and competitive products.

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Manage the “Know Your Toyota” weekly video release in our TU Newsletter by planning out weekly product knowledge and competitor videos, working directly with the agency producing these videos, and write script materials for each video
  • Prepare monthly Sales Pro Quiz for Toyota and Lexus for points on President’s Program
  • Manage Quiz for points on President’s Program twice a year
  • Act as subject matter expert through automotive research in order to stay ahead of automotive product changes and trends to incorporate into competitive training
  • Become the subject matter expert in product knowledge by staying ahead of the latest Toyota product changes and technology
  • Develop educational materials from a variety of sources
  • Procure appropriate competitive product (i.e. vehicles) for education purposes
  • Collaborate with related TCI departments (e.g. Connected Technology, Media, Marketing, Product Planning, and Corporate Logistics) as well as Toyota Division to ensure education identifies and meets strategic and tactical objectives
  • Develop and provide non-dealer related product training and support in collaboration with other TCI departments

What You’ll Bring:

  • University Degree or College Diploma in Business or relevant discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in the auto industry, preferably with a focus in automotive product, retail or wholesale sales
  • Advanced competitive product knowledge
  • Personal and professional interest in and knowledge of vehicles
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Valid G Driver’s License
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
