Abbott Laboratories GmbH is looking for a Product Support Manager (m/f/d), based in Hannover.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced academic degree in a scientific or technical field, preferably in Life Sciences (pharmacy, chemistry, analytical chemistry).
  • 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a manufacturing, development, or technology transfer projects (chemical, pharmaceutical) background.
  • Exhibits a thorough understanding of CMC drug development with a good understanding of the manufacturing environment and constraints (e.g. GMP).
  • Strong management skills to manage complex projects with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Development, Regulatory, Quality
  • Able to challenge current practices to constantly improve competitiveness, develop ideas and realize innovation.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to interface with multiple areas within Abbott and Third Party Manufacturers.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing all activities in the Product Support Work Stream to give full support to the product, prioritize work, focus on value added activities and ensure that all members of the Work Stream are sufficiently managing their tasks and responsibilities.
  • Serve as a representative of EPO (Operations) in Brand Teams and support the alignment the strategy of the Brand Team with the Product Support Work Stream(s) and Operations.
  • Identify and coordinate Target Cost Initiatives to improve the gross margin of a product.
  • Keep close ties with Manufacturing Operations and assure that processes are running smoothly, i.e. give guidance to continuous improvement and troubleshooting actions.
  • Report to governance bodies, e.g. EPO LT, Brand Teams and escalate issues timely.
  • Contribute to the planning of budgets, i.e. internal resources and external costs, and control of costs.
  • Support the development of comprehensive project plans to improve the quality and profitability of products.
  • Propose yearly Brand Roadmap including strategic goals.
  • Contribute that product knowledge is maintained and expanded (e.g. competitors, licensing-in and Life Cycle Management opportunities).
  • Managing Technology Transfers related to New Product Introductions
