As Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR), you will be responsible for the coverage, retention, development, and customer satisfaction of a specific group of customers within an assigned territory. You will act as a hunter and farmer of accounts, consistently increasing your book of business and building on the relationships made with maintenance supervisors, foremen, purchasing, owners, etc. This individual should be ambitious and have a passion for delivering innovative product support solutions to Aspen’s customers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Identifying new customers, managing existing customers, prospecting, business development and competitive intel. Lead generation from new and existing customers. Qualify and close leads generated.
  • Evaluate customer needs, promote and sell products and services to meet those needs, and provide quality solutions.
  • Follow through on sales process through from customer orientation to delivery
  • Develop and maintain client information and data using Aspen’s software and other tools available to enable accurate market intelligence, pricing, estimates, and customer satisfaction.
  • Travel throughout assigned territory to support customers repair needs and provide after sales support.
  • Ensure all sales documents and customer agreements are completed consistently, accurately, and in a timely manner.
  • Achieve profitable parts and service revenue in line with corporate targets.
  • Prepare accurate and timely forecasts, pricing, estimates, and market intelligence for parts and service revenue targets for the assigned customer base.
  • Develop department strategies to grow business year over year.
  • Forecast annual sales.
  • Acquire product knowledge
  • Manage your time and work independently, including developing your own route and schedule.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Overseeing administrative and technical aspects of office if needed.
  • General office and system security when needed.
  • Office supplies and sundries when needed

Experience and Education

  • High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or 5+ years of industry experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in Heavy Haul industry is an asset.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain an insurable driving record.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Experience in Visual Manufacturing an asset.

Working Conditions

  • Requires prolonged sitting with periodic lifting, walking, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching.
  • Must be able to travel on a regular basis to include overnight stays.
  • Regular exposure to industrial shop hazards which require additional protection from noise, fall hazards and air quality. Safety boots must be worn.
  • Regular fast pace or work with tight deadlines
  • A medium stress environment due to timelines

Shift Availability

  • Monday to Friday – 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
  • Overtime occasionally available, ability to work longer hours when needed
