- Accessibility knowledge: You know web accessibility guidelines (like WCAG 2.1) and can design with those in mind.
- User research experience: You’re familiar with user research methods and usability testing, so you can gather insights and make informed design decisions.
- Basic coding know-how: You don’t need to be a developer, but having a basic understanding of code helps you collaborate better with the tech team.

- A bachelor degree or higher in a related field is best suitable for this position … but experience is also extremely valued, so do not hesitate even if you miss that piece of paper
- Interest and/or experience in the financial industry, payments industry, anti-fraud, KYC … is certainly a plus
- After your training period, you will be able to work at least 2 days from home if you want, but always welcome in our offices if you prefer
- We are located next to the Brussels Central Station what makes it super easy, but we are also easily accessible by car, bike, etc.

Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
At Isabel, we are committed to creating digital products that are easy to use, inclusive, secure and fully compliant with regulations. As our new Product UX Designer, your mission is to design and refine the user experience of our core web and app products (Isabel6, Ponto, Kube and IntelliSuite). You’ll make sure our B2B community gets the best experience possible while ensuring we meet the highest regulatory and security standards. Balancing creativity with compliance will be key to your role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand our users: Perform user research to understand their needs, behaviors, and pain points. You’ll gather insights through interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis.
- Design for everyone: Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes that are accessible and meaningful for all users. Your designs will be visually appealing, intuitive, and in sync with each product’s functionality.
- Keep it compliant and secure: Collaborate with our compliance and security teams to ensure your designs meet relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, PSD2) and security standards (e.g. Instant payment, Verification of Payee, …).
- Collaborate and connect: Work closely with product managers, developers, compliance officers, and other stakeholders to ensure your design solutions align with business goals, technical constraints, and regulatory requirements.
- Test, learn, improve, repeat: Conduct usability tests to identify issues, gather user feedback, and refine your designs to improve functionality and user satisfaction.
- Keep things consistent: Create and manage our design systems and style guides, ensuring a cohesive user experience across all our products.
