SKILLS REQUIRED:
Using your strong Agricultural background, along with your enthusiasm for the industry, you will be proactive in developing key relationships across the industry to develop the DLF Seeds production in Tasmania.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Proven agronomic experience in a similar role within the agricultural industry.
- Strong time management and planning abilities.
- Results driven approach with a positive and constructive attitude .
- Ability to work autonomously in a geographically dispersed but close-knit team.
- A tertiary qualification in Agriculture will be looked upon favourably for this position.
- An ability to travel.

Responsibilities:
DLF Seeds is currently seeking an experienced Production Agronomist (based in Tasmania) to join our team. This exciting role will operate across a range of crops, delivering sound agronomic advice to growers, so to achieve our planned annual production requirements. With a strong company culture, you’ll be joining a successful and motivated team. This flagship territory is highly regarded and very important to our success.
Reporting to the Production Manager, your key areas of responsibility will be:
- Development and retention of strong relationships with growers to facilitate annual volume production that meet the strategic needs of our company, through contracting and monitoring a range of crops that comply with our company’s quality standards.
- Position the DLF Seeds products and brand as a leading science-based organisation that delivers high value for our grower base.
- Provide regular crop reporting through the Trimble app.
- Support sales campaigns, industry events and attend field days as required, sharing the DLF philosophy & technical positioning
- Assist any R&D activities as directed.
- The safety of yourself and others.
