Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting entry-mid level opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team based in West London. As a Coordinator you will be performing administrative/coordination tasks and undertaking cinema QC to sign off our client’s content, working with industry standard equipment such as 4K digital cinema projectors, in-house campaign management software, keygen, and utilising typical Microsoft Office & Google packages.
In addition to QC, the role includes managing Key (KDM) distribution to Cinema’s, helping with the department’s billing, processing jobs via our internal business system and supporting our team with office administration. With time the candidate will be helping with some client management, and with training (and experience), will be entrusted to quality control and sign off high level trailers and feature DCP’s. On this role, there is an expectancy of a 50/50 split between Client focused coordination & admin, and production focused QC & content management, and you will also form part of the distribution team providing key (KDM) management services to cinemas during theatrical release campaigns.
Duties will consist of performing QCs to the highest standard, producing detailed QC reports & file records, and supporting the Account Managers and technical production team in maintaining office operations and lab admin. In time, there will be aspects of account management, digital content preparation and training on subtitling software & film mastering best practice. The successful candidate will gain exposure to all aspects of Digital Cinema workflows and a busy postproduction environment.
The role is predominately 9am-6pm, Monday to Friday, however, some team members will start slightly earlier in the day and others will end slightly later in the day (TBD). Occasionally, during a very large film release, some weekend or evening email cover is required based on a fair rotation, and very occasionally, some weekend QC cover can be required where a film release becomes pressing. Visual Data provides overtime and time-in-lieu policies; and we work flexibly and intelligently to suit both the client and our team members’ needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintaining excellent file records, job sheets, QC reports, billing databases
- QC of digital cinema features (DCP’s), trailers, and maintaining job sheet accuracy
- Supporting our mastering team with IO, content prep and pre-checks
- Providing support to our account management team with film distribution, emails and routine office admin
- Supporting our cinema key creation process, maintaining a cinema database and issuing keys (KDM’s) to clients and cinemas
- An understanding of subtitling specification and formats, audio sample rates, video frame rates, SMPTE standards and traditional multi-channel audio configurations (2.0, 5.1, 7.1) is useful but not essential.
- Abiding by security policies and protecting information assets entrusted to you
- Maintaining our Wiki and how-to guides
- Possessing a sense of humour and a can-do attitude
