POSITION DETAILS:

· Full-Time, Permanent

· Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 a.m.– 5:30 p.m.
· NOC Code – 94201 – Electronics assembler, fabricators, inspectors and testers.
Location: Head Office, Cornwall Road, Oakville, ON

SUMMARY:

Main objective of the Incumbent is to lead assembly electronic billboards area, with main objective of the Incumbent is to follow and meet daily – weekly – monthly production targets, delivery and ensure parts availability prior to start, set up jobs (change over or line balancing), monitor (operator performance or rates), tracking of routing and labor (tablets), train (when required) and lead staff in performance and delivery and quality product (mentor).
Incumbent will maintain positive and professional attitude with all levels of staff, with responsibility for planning tasks of all the activities within the cell or area, this means the role requires additional periods or early arrival at the area at least 15 minutes prior to employees’ arrival to ensure work is ready and will require late departures to ensure work is ready for next day and performance indicators are fulfilled.

· Strong team player with excellent problem and conflict solving skills.
· Resourceful, proactive and excellent multitasking ability; will assist production when required
· Organizing / prioritizing workload and taking corrective action to ensure standards are met

WORK EXPERIENCE:

· Proven experience working in metalwork, metal fitting or mechanical assembly.
· Manufacturing experience is an asset.

Responsibilities:

· Resource training and utilization of resources in assembly (population & wiring), panel installation and powering bords (ready for configuration) & other tasks to perform finish of the structural board safe, quality build.
o Lay-out, position, secure & assembly products in accordance with production drawings & standard work instructions with the team and monitor shift performance.
o Inspect & measure fabricated components to ensure that they are within the specification provided in the drawings. Adhere to all Company Safety related policies, procedures, & training; and all work-site safety rules and regulations.
o Actively identifying continuous improvement opportunities to increase production efficiency & safety.
· Utilize basic hand tools (manual and pneumatic) to assist with component installation (wrenches, drivers, sockets, rivets, etc.).
o Continual review for component or metalwork defects and report to production lead hand; responsible for component/cell level quality assurance.
o Verify dimensions and clearance of components to ensure conformance to production drawing and other specifications.
o Inform management on issues related to quality, production and/or safety which may adversely impact meeting your daily production goals.
· Keep record and report daily personal labor hours dedicated to each production work order (routing and tracker or tablets)
o Maintain a clean and organized production work cell.
o Actively identifying continuous improvement opportunities to increase production efficiency and safety.
· Ensuring workflow within his/her production assembly cell is actively engaged to meet the daily – weekly – monthly targets (demands) of active job or work in progress (WIP). Providing effective training to the assembly cell and ensures safety and quality standards are always maintained.
· Ensure timely tracking of work orders and control of inventory items [parts]
· Working with all levels of production, maintains production within established standards for quality, productivity, safety and tidying of assigned cell or area. Ensues timely tracking of work orders and control of inventory items [parts] and reporting overage or missing inventory.
· Responsible for recording start/finish time into the tablets on each project.
· Responsible for QA checklist upon completion of each stage, the Lead Hand is to inspect quality of completed process, sign document, inform designated QA team member to perform the quality check before starting next stage of job.
· Responsible for safety inspections in assigned area (e.g. tools, machines, equipment)
· Keeping track of consumables materials in assigned area, ensure to replenish in time before depletion.
· Responsible for kits inspection needs to happen before job is to start. If there is discrepancies, they need to be reported immediately.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, responsible for assembly and maintenance in the assigned area.
