Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Production Assistant to join our team at our Wingham, Ontario location!

WHAT SKILLS YOU NEED:

• Versatile and willing and able to learn and work in a variety of areas (field, plant, warehouse).
• Value working with a team, are initiative-taking, communicate concerns, and are flexible and accepting of change.
• Willing and able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation: Climb and/or work in elevated areas, Stand and sit for extended periods, work outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions, lift up to fifty (50) lbs., and perform work that involves repetitive motion and lifting.
• Comfortable with technology and possess good computer aptitude including the use of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.), and are willing and able to learn other company specific applications as required.
• You demonstrate integrity and promote a positive working environment by being an initiative-taker and willing to assist team members on a consist basis.
• You uphold health and safety to the highest standard! You consistently help others and demonstrate adherence to safety protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure you and your colleagues go home safely every day.
• Valid Class G driver’s license required.

The responsibilities may include but are not limited to activities related to: seed field, seed production plant, harvest, receiving, conditioning, packaging, warehousing, and shipping, as directed by supervisor.

• Seed field activities include assisting with planting, spraying, scouting, roguing for quality, and harvesting.
• Harvest activities such as, combine operation, trucking, drying.
• Conditioning activities such as cleaner operation, gravity operation, equipment clean down and forklift operation.
• Treating activities include bagging, palletizing, sampling, and equipment clean down.
• Various other duties as applicable, which will give you exposure and knowledge to a variety of areas of our business.

This position is a fulltime, one year contract. Hours of work are generally Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week, with overtime hours including weekend work required during seasonal peaks.
