Production Associate

Mariposa Dairy is a leading manufacturer of award-winning cheeses based in Lindsay, Ontario. Our aim is to provide the highest quality cheese products in North America through the efforts of our skilled and valued team for the benefit of our customers and community.
We are currently seeking a full-time Production Associate reporting to the Production Supervisor. Our organization is a growing and dynamic business and operates in our two facilities just off Hwy. 36 in Lindsay, Ontario.
No prior experience needed. We will train you!
PLEASE NOTE: You must be available to work shifts on a rotating basis. Typical shifts are 8.5 hours long, currently starting any time between 4:30 am and 3:00 pm, as well as Saturday shifts from mid-August to December. Mariposa reserves the rights to change shifts in the future based on business requirements.
Our ideal candidate is punctual and hardworking with excellent attendance and is comfortable working with food on a fast-paced production line.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Detail-oriented and well-organized
• Physical endurance with ability to stand for long periods of time
• Hand/eye coordination
• Excellent personal hygiene
• Can commute to Lindsay, Ontario and have reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg may be required
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Flexibility of hours when necessary
• Some work on public holidays and/or weekends when necessary
• Ability to work rotating shifts as per business needs as required

• Feeding raw material onto production lines
• Prepare packaging for use (label and assemble boxes and containers)
• Pack finished goods into consumer packaging
• Support mixing, portioning and pack line equipment, as required
• Roll product
• Rolling, preparing and packaging finished goods, as required
• Sorting and moving items in and out of coolers to ready for transport
• Assist in cleaning of equipment and routine factory cleaning in accordance with HACCP procedures
• Follow established safety rules and regulations, including not wearing any jewelry, or nail polish while working
• Other duties, as assigned
