QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years practical experience in project management within paint, construction and/or home improvement industry
- Previous supervisory/management experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Results oriented – able to set, meet and exceed goals
- Time management, problem-solving and high sense of urgency skills
- Customer focus and good negotiation skills
- Detailed oriented, organized, energetic and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift 50 lbs (22.5 kg)Good computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; CRM knowledge (an asset)
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and valid insurance (this position will predominantly travel to and from job sites in the Hamilton regionAvailable to work full time with occasional Saturdays, depending on the project.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
CertaPro Painters of Hamilton have been consistently growing and as a result, we are looking for a Production Associate to manage the production of both residential and commercial projects in the Hamilton region (Ancaster, Dundas, Hamilton, Stoney Creek and Grimsby). This position is responsible for production capacity, quality assurance and safety while ensuring both clients expectations and production goals are met. The ideal candidate has a paint, construction and/or home improvement industry-background, outstanding relationship building skills and a customer-focused approach.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with Sales Associates to understand all aspects of the jobs to ensure expectations set forth with the customers are met.
- Manage the production schedule and assign paint crews to projects.
- Determine paint and materials to be purchased for projects and place orders accordingly.
- Provide support to the job site supervisor and ensure he/she provides daily updates on jobs in progress.
- Perform quality assurance site visits. Ensure job sites are clean and painters wear proper branded attire.
- Ensure paint crews are producing jobs on or above established Gross Margin.
- Handle customer communications during production with the objective of meeting their painting needs, including resolution of customer complaints in a timely manner.
- Perform walkthroughs with the job site supervisors and customers once jobs are completed.
- Develop a recruiting, development, and retention program for the Job Site Supervisors, as well as properly onboarding them to set them up for production success.
- Ensure that all field programs and systems are being executed.
- Responsible for providing ongoing training and inspections related to safety, as well as conducting safety meetings.
- Responsible for ensuring that all crews are following Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations.
