Production Buyer

THE BUSINESS

Our client is a forward thinking manufacturing business who are market leading across Europe resulting in year on year growth most recently delivering record profits. Remaining very ambitious to continue business growth they produce a high touch product within their new production facility where they offer their customer base a complete end to end service.

Reporting into the Procurement Manager, who has excellent career experience and will act as a great mentor to the successful candidate, you will work alongside another Buyer and Junior Buyer in delivering the companies Purchasing strategy. You will have a small portfolio of suppliers but suppliers who are key to the production operation and represent the largest spend portfolio. Key duties include-
· Build & develop productive suppliers relationships
· Managing commodities in line with MRP
· Active involvement in cross-functional teams to source requirements that ensure customer expectations are met
· Maintaining accurate data for suppliers, lead time, pricing, due dates & batch sizes
· Monthly KPI verification of results and achievements
