SF Studios has a long track record with film and TV productions that has been loved in the Nordics and worldwide for more than 100 years. We have production business in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Our production ranges from classical Bergman films to some of our more recent productions such as Konferensen and Ondskan in Sweden; Quisling in Norway and Paranoia in Denmark. REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this role, we believe you have:

• 5-10 years of accounting experience
• A university degree in Finance
• Experience from film or TV production, media, tech, construction or telecom business
• Technical skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Knowledge in audit processes from large companies
• Fluent in English and Swedish

RESPONSIBILITIES

As our new Production Controller, you will support our Swedish production business with financial tasks. You will support our ongoing productions on a daily basis and also manage monthly closing for two of our companies. You will work in close collaboration with the Finance Manager Production in Sweden, our outsourcing partner Cognizant and the rest of the finance team. More specifically, you will handle:

Business operations and accounting

• Support SF Studios’ producers and production staff in Sweden with day-to-day financial activities
• Oversee that daily accounting made inhouse and by outsourcing partner Cognizant is correct and in line with SF Studios accounting principles and applicable laws
• Coordinate and lead startup meetings for production teams including introduction to the SF Studios way of working and training in relevant financial systems.
• Be a super-user in financial systems within production
• Prepare production cost reports
• Manage the financial planning of a production to ensure timely billing
• Together with the Finance Manager Production in Sweden, be responsible for legal reporting for SF Studios two production companies (SF Studios Production Services AB and SF Studios Production AB)
• Responsible for supporting producers with the financial reporting package sent to streamers, e.g Netflix
• Main point of contact towards outsourcing partner Cognizant, including following up that AP/AR is handled in a timely manner.
• Responsible for the petty cash management process for the Swedish production business

Monthly and annual closing processes

• Perform timely month-end account reconciliations and other monthly closing activities
• Reporting of monthly results and balance sheet reporting in line with SF Studios reporting schedule
• Ensure together with Finance Manager Production that monthly reporting of production revenues, WIP and EBITA meets SF Studios accounting principles

Other

• Overall responsible for financial reporting to the Swedish Film Institute
• Support the production business with financial applications and or financial reporting when needed (Creative Media, Swedish tax incentive etc.)
• Support with documentation to auditors and respond to audit requests
• Provide documentation for production audits and ensure eligibility criteria of SFI or other financing support
