Knowledge:
· Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in business school or equivalent
· Familiarity with Food production, or similar, operating in GPP, GMP, or BRIC environment.
· Demonstrated use of electronic requirement planning electronic systems
Skills and Abilities:
· Effective verbal and written communication as well as and listening skills in English
· Training presentation skills
· Attention to details is essential
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Can work independently or as part of a team
· Experience working within a highly regulated quality (and security) environment
· Well organized; demonstrated time management skills
· Ability to read and interpret floor plans and non-technical equipment drawings

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

As a Supervisor, the Production Coordinator is responsible for the smooth running of production from start to finish, ensuring that the final product meets quality standards and deadlines, while helping to maintain a service-oriented team built on the foundations of Product Safety.
SGA is not able to sponsor a person into Canada for this role; we are looking for candidates from within Canada only. All candidates must meet the regulatory obligations of our licence restrictions.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Promote and support a safe workplace environment
· Planning and scheduling: Creating and managing schedules to ensure production runs on time and meets customer order requirements
· Budgeting: Participation in budget allocations and handling cost efficiencies
· Procurement: Vendors, approvals, timing, ordering, account setup
· Logistics: Controlling the details of the location, including setup, vendors, staffing, and breakdown; confirm that incoming materials and ingredients are labeled and recorded correctly by receivers.
· Communication: Communicating with other members of the crew and production department, and managing the production’s communications
· Documentation: Maintaining and organizing complex documentation digitally and on paper. Collecting and correctly documenting production, product related data from recipes to costs. Preparation or update of production SOPs.
· Quality assurance: Ensuring the production team meets scheduled goals and that the final product meets the required quality standards
· Translation of concepts: Translating client expectations into production requirements and updating electronic systems: “recipes” are the central definition of our products; will include working with mathematics including simple algebra.
· Training: onboarding production operators; participate in or lead new equipment training development and training; new health & safety training expansion, development and/or supervision as required.
