REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong hands-on experience with machinery setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to plan and manage production schedules efficiently to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments (e.g., production, sales, quality, warehouse).
  • Familiarity with packaging machinery or a similar industrial environment (desirable).
  • Relevant qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, BTEC, 18th edition wiring) are an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Production Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of engineers and machine setters, ensuring smooth and efficient production operations at our facility in Suffolk. This is a hands-on role where you’ll take charge of day-to-day supervision, team development, and machinery troubleshooting, as well as collaborating with various departments to ensure high-quality outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and supervise a team of engineers and machine setters to meet production targets.
  • Ensure all machinery is set up correctly, troubleshoot issues, and carry out routine maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinate and plan production schedules, ensuring efficiency across the department.
  • Provide coaching and support to your team, helping them develop and grow.
  • Monitor and improve production performance, identifying areas for optimisation.
  • Ensure health & safety standards are followed and foster a safe working environment.
  • Work closely with other departments, including sales, quality, and warehouse, to ensure smooth operations.
