Description:

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or Food Technology.
  • Minimum of 2 years working in a shift-based or manufacturing environment, ideally within the food industry.
  • Proven experience managing foreign workers and the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Ability to work shifts, take initiative to solve problems, and apply effective solutions in a dynamic production environment.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Penang area.
  • Background in Process Engineering is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Production Executive oversees and manage Dryer 2 operations, ensuring smooth and efficient production processes around the clock. The role involves addressing staffing gaps, replicating successful practices from Dryer 3, and driving improvements in production efficiency.
The role requires managing a 12-hour shift setup with responsibilities extending across all shifts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for efficient plant operations during the shift.
  • Ensure all safety measures are taken in the safe operations of the plants.
  • Assume the lead role during the shift for process yields, product quality, and efficient treatment of plants.
  • Monitor in-process quality during the shift.
  • Report and record production data during the shift.
  • Assist in planning labor for production, managing overtime, and ensuring site security.
  • Act as a leader in the fire-fighting team during the shift.
  • Provide training to new operators.
  • Assist with the receipt and unloading of raw materials into tanks and the warehouse.
  • Oversee the Packing/Finishing section to ensure all schedules are met.
  • Support and facilitate the Maintenance Executive in maintenance and repair work.
  • Ensure all SOPs are implemented and complied with.
  • Act as a coordinator for safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) matters.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of management standards/systems such as safety, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, HACCP, and GMP.
