REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Forklift License an Asset
- Strong mechanical Aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machines
- First aid certification an asset
- Communication, leadership, and paperwork skills.
- Results orientation with a disposition towards continuous improvement.
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to problem solve and take initiative.

Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, direction, and training to packaging employees while holding team accountable for their responsibilities (Productivity, Quality, and Safety)
- Working knowledge of production equipment, Start-up, and shutdown of production lines.
- Ensure all safety requirements are met such as personal protective equipment, WHMIS, lockout/tag out procedures and chemical mixing precautions.
- Identify and report potential hazards.
- Can identify equipment problems and remedy them.
- Identify & take-action on issues that impact food safety & quality by bringing concerns to Supervisor’s attention.
- Ensure accurate completion of all daily reports and required documentation.
- Lead by example - by dealing w/team members & responding to changes in work environment in a positive manner.
- Must possess maturity, treat others w/respect in a mentoring environment & adhere to Company Policy and Procedures.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
