POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Lead Hand to support our growing manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Production Manager, Planning Manager, and other team members to ensure efficient production processes while maintaining GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and quality control standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role that involves direct participation in making products, guiding production staff, and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient workplace.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand for 8+ hours and perform repetitive tasks.
- Comfortable with physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cosmetics manufacturing or a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of GMP standards, quality control, and production processes.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role in production.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- WHMIS certification is an asset.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for quality and efficiency.
- Team player, enthusiastic, and willing to learn.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in manufacturing skin and body care products, including batching, filling, labeling, and packaging.
- Supervise, mentor, and train production staff to ensure adherence to GMP standards and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager and Planning Manager to execute production schedules and meet deadlines.
- Maintain high attention to detail during preparation and strive to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure finished products meet company and regulatory standards.
- Set up, maintain, clean, and troubleshoot production equipment as needed.
- Organize and move inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
- Receive inventory deliveries, inspect for quality, and ensure proper storage.
- Monitor raw material and packaging supplies inventory, reporting shortages promptly.
- Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
