Description:

Hanagan Landscaping is a growing maintenance and landscape installation company that services both commercial and residential clients in the Southeastern Pennsylvania area. We are an employee first company that prioritizes team work amongst all employees.
The production manager’s job is to ensure all jobs, crews, and crew members are operating as efficiently as possible and to ensure all work quality and appearance are meeting client and Hanagan Landscaping standards. The production manager is also responsible for training crew leaders and crew members, and ensuring all employees operate and are working in a safe manor.
This position requires the following experience:
3 years of in field landscape experience performing landscape maintenance, enhancement, and/or installation work.
3 years of landscape manager experience in this or a similar position.

Responsibilities (Production Manager):

  • Understand client and jobsite needs via regular communication with Owner.
  • Understand each sites contractual obligations/scope of work and ensure they are being performed.
  • Ensure jobsite quality and appearance meet client and company standards through regular site visits (see schedule below)/ check ins with customers when possible.
  • Manage all landscape services, including coordination of people, materials, and equipment required to produce quality work efficiently.
  • Leverage personnel and equipment between crews to ensure maximum production output.
  • Inspect properties prior to scheduled work to prepare specific action plan for scheduled services.
  • As necessary, perform hands-on work with crews to meet work and scheduling demands.
  • Enforce Hanagan Landscaping handbook and procedures.
  • Communicate with, train, discipline, review, and develop growth plans for employees.

o Train and on-board new hires.

o Set goals and monitor them with employees.

  • Provide hands on training to crew members including proper operation of equipment, pruning techniques, safety, and quality and work standards.
  • Identify, suggest, and implement training ideas for all team members.
  • Maintain, manage and submit paperwork as needed in a timely manor.

o Ensure all crew paper work is handed in, in a timely manor and all mobile app punch ins/outs are being performed.

  • Order material as needed and monitor costs and deliveries.
  • Monitor morning load up procedures for crews and look for improvement.
  • Get crews set up, go over job(s) with crew leaders for that day and ensure crews get out the door and to the jobs efficiently.
