The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing processes within our composite production facility. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in composite materials and manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient and effective operation of the production line, maintaining high-quality standards, optimizing productivity, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred, or the equivalent in relevant industrial experience

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a production management role within the composite manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing production teams in a fast-paced environment

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of composite materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Responsibilities:

Production Planning and Scheduling:

  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain, engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless operations.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of production staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all products meet the company’s stringent quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to implement corrective actions and process improvements as needed.

Process Optimization:

  • Analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement, increased efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and other best practices to enhance operational efficiency.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and implement necessary changes to improve workplace safety.

Budget Management:

  • Prepare and manage the production budget, monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide regular financial reports and forecasts to senior management.

Technology and Innovation:

  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in composite manufacturing technologies and methodologies.
  • Drive innovation by introducing new technologies and processes that enhance production capabilities.

What do we need from you?
