EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE

  • At least 3 years’ experience in similar position
  • Experience and knowledge of LEAN principles

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of degree in engineering
  • LEAN education is an advantage

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken Finnish
  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY AND PURPOSE

Responsible for production operations including safety, quality, delivery performance, cost and people. Key driver of production operations development related to production processes and production technology.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To ensure adherence with all compliance standards and operate with integrity at all times.
  • Frontline leaders are responsible for ensuring implementation of the EH&S systems in his/her area of responsibility. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Never allowing employees to compromise their safety, or protection of the environment to improve productivity, efficiency, or sales
  • Never instructing employees to disregard EH&S rules, policies or standards
  • Encouraging the Immediate reporting all incidents (injuries, illnesses, near misses, spills, etc.), hazardous conditions, and emergencies by their employees
  • Raising the visibility of environmental, health & safety within the department or area
  • Being accountable for environmental, health & safety performance of the department or area
  • Fostering an atmosphere where environmental, health & safety issues are freely and openly discussed, and environmental, health & safety incidents are reported
  • Encouraging direct reports and other coworkers to be involved in environmental, health & safety activities
  • Performing routine inspections within his/her areas of responsibility to proactively identify and address environmental, health & safety risks and hazards
  • Understanding and ensuring environmental, health & safety rules are observed
  • Promoting adherence to the requirements of the environmental, health & safety management system, particularly JELD-WEN’s Life Critical Safety Rules and the Environmental, Health & Safety Standards
  • Being visible in the workplace on environmental, health & safety matters, including engaging employees in conversations about environmental, health & safety and participating in relevant EH&S meetings.
  • Leading, attending and actively participating in EH&S training
  • Encouraging and supporting employees’ right to invoke the stop work process to prevent injuries
  • Imposing fair, legal and proper disciplinary actions in cases where environmental, health & safety rules are violated
  • Ensure that production meets its set targets
  • Develop production processes together with team
  • Ensure that production operators have the needed training and tools to succeed in their job
