Position: Warehouse Production Manager
Location: 265 Foster St, Littleton, MA
Pay: $55k-$60k annually

Of Employees Managed: 7-9 hourly production employees

JOB SUMMARY & SCOPE

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing, the Production Manager leads a team to meet production targets while maintaining quality standards, optimizing resources, and adhering to safety regulations. Key responsibilities include production planning, quality control, team management, inventory management, process improvement, budgeting, supplier relations, performance monitoring, and cross-functional communication.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop and implement production schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods while optimizing resources and minimizing costs.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes to maintain product standards and compliance with regulations.
  • Lead and motivate production teams, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure productivity and morale.
  • Monitor inventory levels, coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to maintain adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency gains, and cost reductions, implementing appropriate measures to enhance production operations.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the production environment.
  • Manage production budgets, analyze variances, and implement cost-saving initiatives to achieve financial targets.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to secure timely delivery of raw materials and components, negotiate contracts, and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess production performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Liaise with other departments such as sales, marketing, and engineering to coordinate production activities and address any cross-functional issues.

EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE + KEY TRAITS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, quality standards, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and safety standards relevant to the industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with a track record of implementing process enhancements and driving operational excellence.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Primary language used in daily operations is English. Additional primary company languages include Spanish, French, and Dutch.
  • Read and interpret documents, procedure manuals and various correspondence from both internal and external.
  • Speak effectively, both individually and before groups of both external customers and/or various levels of employees within the organization.
