Position Summary: Responsible for the production operations of the Video Services department for Johnson County Community College (JCCC), providing management, project coordination, delivery standards and workflow, and technical coordination.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- First-level leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience.
- Coordinates and leads daily team activities.
- May spend a portion of time performing the work of those they supervise.
- Assists with management decisions and activities.
- Working knowledge of team function within the organization.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Hire, onboard, train, and manage the production staff. Provide oversight and communicate expectations. Ensure the production team has the access and resources to achieve their responsibilities and complete performance appraisals.
- Facilitate opportunities for technical training of production staff as well as professional development.
- Coordinate projects, define the scope, and coordinate all phases of production with clients, peer departments, external talent, and internal production staff. Ensure quality of products, services, and workflows. Write and enforce procedures to ensure standards across the production team, including brand standards. Provide direction on style, tone, and polish for each project.
- Work with clients, respond to questions, and maintain relations throughout the life of a project and beyond.
- Oversee the delivery standards and project workflow. Establish media management, cataloging, and archiving procedures. Establish and modify render standards for multiple delivery systems.
- Establish and revise workflows for accessibility compliance. Manage captioning workflow and project assignments with the caption provider. Work with the Engineering Manager to provide live interpreting via picture-in-picture.
- Coordinate last-minute technical requests, sometimes outside business hours, involving multiple stakeholders, including room scheduling, AV support, and the Video Services production and engineering staff. Respond after hours to equipment failures and assist in coordinating the engineering team.
- Brainstorm and implement creative solutions to a variety of client needs, including technical problems with existing videos and copyright issues. Work with the production and engineering team to brainstorm new production needs and techniques. Work with the engineering team to identify department needs and recommend equipment for purchase.
- Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity, may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling, shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.
