WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • A passion for IT and experience in a similar role - preferably from a NOC, SOC, EOC or Service Support / Service Management / Infrastructure operations background.
  • Here, you’ll have the opportunity to use enterprise class system admin tools (UNIX and AWS) as well as monitoring tools (New Relic) so it would be beneficial if you have an awareness or understanding of how these tools are used.
  • the ability to keep your cool under pressure is key, as is teamwork - we are always busy, but are flexible and give each other support.
  • Covers a 24/7 shift pattern, you’ll need the flexibility to cover nights, weekends and public holidays. And of course because we’re William Hill, we love our sport - so a passion for sport will help you get to grips with our business and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Using a suite of world class monitoring tools, our team have visibility over the entire enterprise stack - from on-premise databases to auto-scaled services in the AWS Cloud.
  • Diagnose and triage incidents, apply fixes and engage technical experts to minimise disruption, keeping our customers happy and secure.
  • Identify and manage incidents, following-up with internal and external customers, owning issues until closure.
  • Follow, write and refine incident run books to deliver a first class rehearsed response to both service and security incidents.
