The Role & What You Will Be Doing
The Production Operative will support activities performed in all production areas - Autoclave, Tunnel & Washroom.

Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Production Operative (evening) role will make an impact:

  • Autoclave Operator will be responsible for the operation of the sterilizing autoclave on site (used to sterlise porous and liquid loads) ensuring that components and equipment loads required in manufacturing are sterilized as per instructions and all maintenance activities are performed as per the maintenance schedule.
  • Tunnel Operator will be responsible for the operation off the depyrogenation tunnel on site (used to depyyrogenate vials filled on site) and ensure that all maintenance activities are performed as per the maintenance scheduled.
  • Washroom Operator will be responsible for the cleaning and preparation of all filling components used on the vial and syringe filler and all associated activities – ensuing that all components required for vial and syringe fills are washed, setup and ready for sterilization as requested.
  • Ensure that all documentation related to each task above is performed as per the operating procedure.
  • Perform cleaning activities in Grade D & C areas as required.
  • Sample finished products as per sampling request in manufacturing order or as per PV protocol as appropriate.
  • Support the new Suite 4 project by training on the new machinery all training will be provided both internally by Viatris and externally by the machine supplier’’.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, this includes supporting the Packaging Dept. in Casla when required.

About Your Skills & Experience

For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

  • Minimum Leaving Certificate or equivalent, previous experience working in a GMP environment. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. Adhere to company policies and practices as laid down and trained and maintain a high standard of cleanliness whilst carrying out procedures.
  • Ability to Fill in required Math Skills: i.e. add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Ability to read and interpret general business documents. Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence. Ability to work with peers and communicate basic concepts.
  • Comply with standards of quality and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
  • To comply with the EHS standards
  • To comply with company policies on conduct.
  • To operate equipment efficiently and effectively.
  • Look after company property and to report misuse/damage.
  • Flexible in approach to work
  • To keep accurate, legible records, liaising with the QA team
