POSITION:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining effective production plans to meet the company’s sales orders, demand forecasts, and strategic goals. This role requires working closely with multiple departments, including Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, and Production, to ensure efficient production operations and continuous improvement. This person will be based in both of our sites, Setúbal and Alcochete and will be required a minimum of 3 days per week at the office.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Engineering, Mathematics or similar
  • Strong experience in similar roles
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong ability to communicate with different cultural and functional backgrounds
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

The Production Planning main responsibilities include:

  • Develop consistent and stable production plans in accordance with the company’s sales orders, demand strategies, forecasts and deadlines
  • Plan and prioritize operations in accordance with material, workforce and equipment availability to ensure maximum performance, minimum delay and monitor possible bottlenecks
  • Determine workforce/shifts, raw materials and equipment’s (when applicable) needed to cover production demand
  • Recommend viable solutions to improve production processes
  • Produce capacity plan detail to enable forward planning of production areas
  • Build a strong network and work closely with all the necessary areas (Supply Chain/Procurement/Quality/Production), bringing various functions together to have an efficient production planning control
  • Prepare and compile data, status and performance reports of the Production Plan
  • Participate in innovative, metric driven processes and projects to achieve Production Plan excellence
