JOB TITLE: Production Planner
REPORTS TO: Operations and Program Manager
DIVISION: Eddyfi Robotics, Nanaimo (British Columbia)
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Production Planner contributes to the planning and implementation of best practices to optimize manufacturing times and to deliver high quality products as communicated to customers. This position will interface with all departments as needed with the goals of facilitating communication, improving workflow and operational efficiency, and meeting project commitment dates. The Production Planner has a strong ability to work in a changing environment while bridging the gap between customer and operations. This position works closely with the manufacturing team leaders to ensure production capacity meets sales orders.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Experience with ERP systems; SAP knowledge is an asset
- Able to read and understand technical drawings
- Excellent organization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities:
- Receive and process standard sales order
- Work with stakeholders to define ship dates
- Create & schedule work orders and distribute to operations
- Review BOMs for completion and accuracy
- Review work order item requirements (BOM Take-Off) and take necessary action to ensure on time delivery of all required parts
- Provide regular status updates and supplementary critical updates to stakeholders
- Use company software and organization systems for planning and tracking all tasks related to production
- Coordinate all deliverables to Integration and Shipping on time, including Sales Order line items, auxiliary kits, manuals, and packaging
- Support Inside Sales with lead time and costing requests
- Seek out potential improvements in workflow and operational efficiency
- Lead and support the implementation of the ERP system
- Support other departments as required
