Description:

3-5 years of experiences working as a Production Planner in a food manufacturing environment.
Experienced at collaborating with cross-functional teams and supplier to ensure production requirements.
Experienced at monitoring production order progress and making adjustment as necessary to ensure successful completion of production schedule within timeline.
Familiar working with production planning, strategy, adjustment, and plant KPI’s.
Experienced utilizing SAP at production tracking, strategizing, inventory planning, entering orders, etc.
Strong track record at developing production schedules, review inventory of raw materials (monitoring material supply flow) and finished products.
Familiar at coordinating production schedules to accommodate preventive maintenance.
Familiar at forecasting production challenges and work with sister plants (within Canada) to meet customer orders.

Responsibilities:

· Developing detail production plans and forecast that align with company goals
· Collaborating with cross-functional teams and supplier to ensure production requirements are met
· Monitoring production order progress and making adjustment as necessary to ensure successful completion of production schedule within timeline
· Providing regular updates about production planning, strategy, adjustment, plant KPI
· Utilizing SAP and Excel to track production planning and inventory and create visual representation of timelines.
· Develop production schedules and review inventory of raw materials and finished products
· Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage
· Plan daily and weekly production (fresh and frozen) based on customer orders, minimum stock requirements and forecasted volume to ensure customer orders are always met
· Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management
· Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
· Handling production disruptions and productivity problems
· Coordinate production schedule to accommodate maintenance preventive maintenance, work order or QA/CFIA sampling
· Update production stats to reflect actual plant performance
· Finding ways to improve productivity, reduce costs, identify and resolve problems relating to inventory
· Forecast production challenges and work with sister plants to meet customer orders
· Manage deadlines based on project expectations
· Perform final confirmation of completed production orders with good knowledge to operate SAP including entering orders, fixing errors etc.
· Review and correct issues identified though the process order completion
· Responsible for month end and year end inventory and send report to finance team
· Review and verify production documents
· Communicate with other department regarding production schedules and any possibly changes
· Setting up new products and packaging in SAP and communicate with production supervisor and suppliers
· Assist the Production Manager as requested
· Attend weekly Operations meeting
· Create job related SOP’s as needed
· Performance overall continuous improvement in production planning and support production team to improve production efficiency
