JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Production Planner to cover a Temporary Position (Maternity Leave, expected duration:18 months) in Olsztyn, Poland.
A Production Planner is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the manufacturing process to ensure the efficient and timely production of goods. This role involves planning production schedules, managing resources, and ensuring that the manufacturing process runs smoothly. Production planners work closely with various departments, including purchasing, production, logistics, and quality control, to meet production goals and customer demand.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay, adjusting schedules as necessary in response to production delays, equipment failures, or material shortages.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient materials are available for production while minimizing excess stock.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components, tracking and manage work-in-progress (WIP) to avoid bottlenecks or excess inventory.
  • Work closely with production, purchasing, logistics, and quality teams to align schedules and ensure smooth production.
  • Communicate production plans, changes, and potential issues to relevant teams to ensure alignment and minimize disruptions, acting as the main point of contact for any production-related queries or conflicts.
  • Quickly address and resolve any production issues that arise, such as material shortages, equipment breakdowns, or labor challenges.
  • Update production schedules to accommodate any unforeseen changes or delays, working with the maintenance team to ensure minimal downtime and quick resolution of equipment issues.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs), such as production efficiency, on-time delivery
  • Generate reports on production performance, losses reported, using data to forecast future production needs and make informed planning decisions.
  • Align production schedules with customer orders and forecasts to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Work with order management and customer service teams to understand demand fluctuations and adjust plans accordingly, ensuring customer satisfaction by meeting delivery deadlines and managing lead times.
