This newly created position will work across three critical areas of the business, Facilities, EHS and Human Resources. As such, it is an exciting opportunity to innovate and improve existing processes with the successful candidate having scope to craft the role to create maximum impact

As a member of the Purchasing Team, you will:

• Hold a key onsite position, advocating and executing DMS (Danaher Materials System) strategies at Gemba, with planning responsibilities that will drive production and other departments to meet on time delivery performance, reduce past due and optimize inventory.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Proven experience as a Buyer in a manufacturing facility in a buying role, with an understanding of the dynamic and complex challenges that can arise and experience working in supply chain and/or logistics, dealing with supplier and vendor contacts to ensure materials are delivered on time and to requirements
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work across a variety of areas
• Able to work independently whilst effectively managing your time and meeting customer demands
• Functional knowledge of supply chain, with experience in expediting materials

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• SAP (or similar) systems
• Continuous improvement systems and processes
• Working effectively as part of a team

We offer a competitive hourly pay rate for this role, enhanced by shift allowance. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
We offer comprehensive package of benefits including 25 days’ annual leave, flexible benefits, life assurance and membership of a Group Personal Pension Plan
