Description:

You will be responsible for overseeing and producing efficient daily production plans in response to customer orders and forecasts. Using the planning model and various other factory systems to process all incoming orders ensuring they enter the factory system to be ready for picking and revise daily plans accordingly. You will play a central role in communicating information between various departments, both internal and external. Furthermore, you will be responsible for planning and managing finished pack inventories, production batch control and raw material movements back to site and allocation into the factory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain 12 week rolling forecast within the planning model to allow effective packaging and raw material planning.
  • Maintain service level of 99.5% as an average, or higher.
  • Create site capacity plan weekly and share with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure clearly communicated plans drive effective utilisation of resource.
  • Manage the team to ensure minimisation of stock write off of finished goods through effective planning.
  • Constantly manage stock levels of all products to ensure stock maturation and that product is utilised in a timely manner to maximise the value of that product and eliminate stock write offs.
  • Departmental performance indicators to be agreed, developed and monitored with Retail General Manager.
  • Oversee daily production plans to ensure order fulfilment and maintain finished pack inventory at required level within pre agreed shift pattern, whilst maximising factory efficiencies.
  • Oversee a rolling 7-day production plan in line with order forecasts.
  • Ensure all legal and legislative requirements are maintained and up to date.
  • Maximise use of products obtaining high yields and low waste.
  • Efficiently deploy and manage departmental resource.
  • Constantly and consistently review systems and procedures to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Key point of contact between external and internal stakeholders. Communicate planning detail to each department as required.
  • Maintain production batches within the factory system.
  • Validate daily customer orders.
  • Oversee the raw material and retail packaging planning team to ensure customer orders are met efficiently.
  • Review at risk raw material on daily basis, communicate with raw material planning to resolve issues wherever possible.
  • Involvement in project work as required.
