We are seeking a Production Quality Specialist with hands-on experience in the electronics industry to join our team in Tampere. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured meet stringent quality standards, with a focus on both production processes and final product verification.
Your role
You will play a key role in maintaining quality assurance across all production stages, from incoming material inspection to final product testing, ensuring compliance with military specifications and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain quality assurance processes during the production
- Conduct detailed inspections and testing at various stages of production to identify defects, deviations, and non-compliance
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting of production issues, working closely with production teams to ensure real-time quality control
- Maintain and update quality documentation, such as inspection reports, test data, and non-conformance reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, engineering, procurement and other Saab’s production sites) to drive continuous quality improvements
- Ensure readiness for customer or third-party quality inspections
- Train production personnel on quality control processes and best practices
- Analyze production data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for process optimization
Since Saab is a global company, this role requires fluent communication in both English and Finnish, with suppliers, customers and colleagues both in Finland and internationally.
This role requires working mainly on our Tampere production site.
Your profile
Required skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, Quality Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on quality assurance experience in the electronics industry
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to process improvement
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Additional skills and experience that will be beneficial:
- Solid knowledge of military standards and quality systems (ISO 9001, EN9100, AQAP MIL-STD, etc.)
- Proficiency in quality inspection tools and methodologies, such as Six Sigma, SPC, and FMEA
- Experience with quality management software and data analysis tools
