WE ARE RECRUITING A … PRODUCTION SHIFT LEAD

We are recruiting a Production Shift Lead within the Production Department at Müller Bellshill site.
The purpose of this role is to enable the team to deliver targets and continuously improve performance by coaching and developing our people.
The Ideal candidate will have experience in people management including delivery of performance review, development and coaching of team, dealing with employee relations issues.
Contract: Full Time / Perm
Shift Pattern: Day shift, Morning shift, Backshift – weekly rotational
Location: Bellshill

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Creating and delivering development plans through Learning Management System for own team aligned to Objective Goals Strategy Measures.
  • Responsible for departmental KPI’s including Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery & People.
  • Proactive and reactive problem solving and facilitation, coaching the team to do the same.
  • Role modelling “Go, Look, See” by being present in the department every day.
  • Using techniques to follow problems through to “100-year fix” in real time
  • Create and enabling team to seek out improvement opportunities within the workplace and converts to own operational excellence projects aligned to site business plan.
  • Reviewing, setting and improving both operational and individual KPI’s in accordance with site and functional targets.
  • Looking for and encouraging others to find “waste” opportunities in everything that we do
  • Making informed decisions based on commercial impact and with cost leadership mindset.
  • Tracking shift performance and providing insight with data.
  • People management including delivery of performance reviews, development and coaching of team with an engagement, development and retention focus.
  • Effectively managing employee relations issues diligently and confidentially.

  • High level problem solving capability and facilitation skills.
  • “go, look, see” issues by visiting the workstation when called upon .
  • Coaching front line team members, enabling them to solve problems.
  • Uses PDCA techniques to follow problems through to “100 year fix” in real time.
  • Encourages others to seeks out improvement opportunities within the workplace and converts to own operational excellence projects .
  • Owns and delivers operational excellence initiatives and is recognised for these.
  • Looks and encourages others to find “waste” opportunities in everything that we do.
