Job Description
JDE Peet’s is looking for a committed Production Assistant / Machine Operator in our factory in Ōtara, Auckland to work on a casual basis, to cover leave and periods of high production volume. This role is vital in ensuring a safe work environment, and the production of high-quality tea and coffee.

Key tasks will include:

  • Packaging tea and coffee products to specifications
  • Pack, stack and move pallets with the use of a forklift when/if required
  • Ensure raw materials accurately flow to the machines
  • Fix any issues that might happen during the shift (including basic troubleshooting) or ask for help to problem solve
  • Complete paperwork
  • Maintain high-quality standards and aim for continuous improvement
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and make the best use of the space available
  • Complete quality and production records in line with policies/procedures
  • Report any issues/non-conformances & waste
  • Labelling/tagging of bags and packing
  • Work to meet daily targets
  • Proactively managing your own time and work priorities
  • Can work both autonomously and as part of a team

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • Production Operator experience (ideally within Food, Beverage or Pharma Industries)
  • You’re able to safely lift up to 25kgs
  • Willingness to learn, grow and adapt as production needs change
  • Valid NZ working rights
  • You have your own transport to get to our factory in Ōtara
