Description:
We are currently looking for a Production Supervisor to work in a manufacturing plant (roof and wall) located in Delta. This is a morning shift (630am to 3:00 pm) permanent position with great benefits and bonuses! You will be reporting to the Plant Superintendent and will have about 15-20 direct reports.
THE REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS OF A PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR:
- 3+ years of manufacturing supervising experience
- Experience leading production workers (5-15 employees)
- Has a valid passport and is able to enter the United States.
- Occasional trips to corporate offices, other Atlas plants, customers, or vendors for seminars, meetings, and training
- Communication: Ability to read, interpret, and write reports, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Effective verbal communication skills with employees.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as probability, statistics, fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical situations.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license required
Responsibilities:
- Production Management: Direct and coordinate the work of hourly employees to meet production schedules. Ensure that machines operate within established parameters and that final products conform to quality standards. Monitor production efficiency and take necessary actions to meet targets.
- Process Understanding: Maintain a thorough understanding of production processes and controls. Ensure products meet end-use requirements and quality levels.
- Reporting: Complete and verify the accuracy of production, warehousing, shipping, and line reports. Distribute production reports as needed.
- Personnel Management: Approve employee time records and maintain accurate personnel records including attendance, performance, and training. Review employee development and performance annually.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs, coordinate employee training and development, and facilitate cross-training to enhance workforce flexibility.
- Safety and Compliance: Promote safe work behavior, maintain a record of no lost-time accidents, and address unsafe conditions promptly. Ensure adherence to safety policies and proper use of the chemical recycling program.
- Housekeeping and Maintenance: Ensure proper housekeeping practices to minimize product loss and maintain a clean work environment. Oversee proper storage and warehousing of products.
- Problem Solving: Identify and implement adjustments to labor, equipment, or processes to improve efficiency. Handle personnel matters, and corrective actions, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Labor scheduling and forecasting
- Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager. Maintain regular, consistent physical attendance.
