POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will oversee daily activities on the production floor, optimize the use of personnel, manage workflow, and ensure production targets are met. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent decision-making skills, and a focus on improving operational efficiency.
The Production Supervisor reports directly to the Plant Manager, monitoring employee performance, minimizing downtime, and completing essential administrative tasks, including time and attendance tracking.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or production supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills with a focus on optimizing workforce and resources.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (maintenance, engineering, quality control) to solve production-related issues.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems, Work Orders, and email for communication.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills required.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a focus on teamwork.
  • Decision-making in relation to production processes, staffing, and issue resolution.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, meeting physical demands of job which include hot, dusty environments in some places.
  • Clean-shaven face for Respirator Fit Testing.

This position involves full-time, 8.5-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with a 3-shift rotation. Employees rotate shifts every two weeks, shift times for this position are below:
Day Shift: 6:45 am to 3:15 pm or 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Afternoon/Evening Shift: 2:45 pm to 11:15 pm or 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm
Night Shift: 10:45 pm to 7:15 am or 11:00 pm to 7:30 am (Sunday night to Thursday night)

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily production operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient process through the optimal use of manpower, materials, and equipment.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments (e.g., maintenance, engineering, quality control, management) to address any production issues and prevent disruptions.
  • Manage production schedules and workflows, ensuring production targets and timelines are met.
  • Report and document daily production, grinding, and scrap records to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Proactively identify and resolve disruptions or issues in the production process to maintain efficiency.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and timely repair of equipment by working closely with the maintenance team and other departments to minimize downtime.
  • Manage and oversee time and attendance records for production staff, ensuring accurate reporting so it can be sent to payroll department.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, leading by example to motivate employees and encourage teamwork.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all production processes comply with safety standards and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Plant Manager to ensure smooth production operations.
