Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

EDUCATION.

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in the Manufacturing field
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in leading and/or supervising personnel
  • Bilingual

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF POSITION.

Responsible of the direction and supervision of the performance of individuals or a team of associates who put together components to make assemblies or process raw materials into finished products in an industrial environment in order to exceed Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale and Safety goals

RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personell;accomplishing work results;establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems;reporting results of processing flow on shift production summaries
  • Support Value Stream Map creation and Maintenance
  • Lead and participate on improvement and cost reduction projects
  • Assurance of the certification and training of all personnel assigned
  • Coordinate monthly PSA inventories activities, keeping track of the discrepancies of PSA inventories (SAP)
  • Participate in the TL9000, ISO 14000 audits to keep the certification.
  • Contribute in CAPAS documentation, implementation and execution
