PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Location: Burnaby, BC, Canada

We are committed to innovation, quality, and sustainability, and we are looking for a dedicated Production Supervisor to join our dynamic team.
Job Summary: The Production Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing processes, ensuring that production meets quality standards and deadlines. This role involves managing a team of production workers, coordinating with other departments, and implementing continuous improvement practices to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the production team, including training, performance evaluation, and setting performance standards.
  • Plan and assign work schedules, ensuring optimal use of resources and timely completion of production targets.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to synchronize production processes with overall operational goals.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase output.
  • Maintain accurate production records and provide regular reports to upper management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and operation of production equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Business Administration, Industrial Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years proven experience in a production supervisory role within an engineered product manufacturing industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Technical proficiency with production machinery and software used for production management.
  • Certification in production management or related fields (e.g., Certified Production Technician, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) is a plus.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and production management software.

Salary: $105,000- $125,000.
