This position reports directly to Inovata Foods’ Director of Operations and will have a high level of collaboration with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Engineering and Warehouse.
Inovata Foods Corp.is looking for a Production Supervisor to partner with us as we bring families and friends together through offering wholesome and convenient meals. The role is located in our Tillsonburg, Ontario facility. Inovata Foods Corp. is a major producer of wholesome control brand frozen meals for many of North America’s largest retailers.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess knowledge of health and safety and related legislation.
  • Must have experience in supervision, conflict resolution, performance management.
  • Must possess demonstrated problem-solving and leadership skills as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must follow G.M.P.s., Must follow all C.C.P.s.
  • Must be reliable, have an excellent attitude and attendance record.

Responsibilities:

  • Assigns and manages the duties/activities of the departmental personnel to ensure the timely production of quality food products for our customers.
  • Maintains good employee relations through ongoing communication, counseling, and coaching. Provides feedback regarding employee performance via-one-on one conversations, departmental meetings, etc.
  • Administers disciplinary procedures after thorough and immediate investigation of infractions. Ensuring all disciplines meet the criteria of the Progressive Discipline Policy.
  • Maintains their respective department in compliance with the Company safety policies and applicable health and safety legislation; issues discipline when compliance to such rules are violated; answers hazard reports; conducts accident investigations; handles work refusals; administers first aid and completes applicable reports; ensures workers abide by health and safety rules and regulations.
  • Assists in the training and orientation of new employees to ensure full understanding of Company expectations and policies.
  • Completes necessary reports, paperwork, etc. to ensure effective communication of HACCP/SQF requirements, production expectations, and labour efficiencies.
  • Review & analysis of production Conformance, product measurements by line operators (with QA Technicians). Enforce GMPs, food safety and HACCP programs compliance and quality standards with plant employees.
  • Develop corrective actions in response to complaints from consumers with the help of plant QA. Review Food safety non-compliance from plant inspections, externa and internal audits and provide corrective actions.
  • Review and effect any necessary actions regarding the following Food Safety and Quality documents.
