REQUIREMENTS

  • The ability to oversee all facets of day-to-day production operations.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years in a supervisory role at a manufacturingfacility. Corrugated experience and knowledge required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications and Internet usage
  • The ability to sort, analyze, and interpret data as needed.
  • Experience in identifying and understanding issues, problems, and opportunities; comparing data from different sources to conclude; using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; taking action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages policy deployment in the areas of lean manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls, and plant performance measures.
  • Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development. Plan and conduct regular employee training and development meetings.
  • Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.
  • Plan; think ahead, plan and organize. Balances work cell capacity/loading across the plant. Provides leadership through a three to six-month planning cycle.
  • Coach, mentor and train new employees to achieve high performance. Identify employee strengths and weaknesses. Measures performance and makes employment decisions.
  • Complete performance evaluations in a thoughtful and timely manner. Initiate new employee checklists.
  • Responsible for overseeing that all work is being done correctly and safely.
  • Carefully monitor the safety of all employees. Complete accident investigations and reports as necessary.
  • Review and analyze low-performance items. Develop methods for increasing productivity. Reduce waste. Strive for on-time deliveries. Oversee the development of new procedures and work instructions
  • Develop processes for effective and efficient operation of Converting, Assembly, and Warehouse.
  • Manage and organize multiple priorities and be sufficiently flexible to make changes as situations dictate.
  • Determines operations headcount needs and ensures compliance with company policies.
  • Helps define company needs for capital investments and improvement.
  • Visit customers and vendors as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
