POSITION SUMMARY:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the efficient and cost effective operation of the production and assembly room scheduling, shipping and completion of orders.
Ensuring optimal use of company resources (people, materials, equipment) to produce products to specification, on time, and complete to meet or exceed the expectations of our customers while improving our people, processes, and equipment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of experience in people management in a manufacturing environment (production, equipment, quality systems, and facility)
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and certifications preferred
  • Has good technical analysis and problem-solving ability
  • Able to lead multiple team members within a production environment
  • Able to communicate and coordinate with administrative, operations, quality, and engineering teams
  • Able to develop, implement, and complete continuous improvement efforts
  • Able to work a flexible schedule
  • Has extensive working knowledge of manufacturing and process equipment
  • Has a fork truck license and ability to train and certify others for fork truck licenses
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (outlook, word, excel)

Responsibilities:

In order to maintain timely, quality defect-free production, the Production Supervisor is responsible for:

  • Ensuring our metrics and expectations of 100% complete, on time, and quality metrics are met.
  • Lead member of the safety committee while ensuring state, local, and internal safety regulations are met or exceeded for the production department.
  • Leading and mentoring a small group production team leaders to ensure optimal use of company resources
  • Responsible for meeting budgeted costs for labor, material, equipment, and other production related expenses
  • Ensuring all production related processes, documentation and areas are in compliance with our quality management system
  • Use of ERP/MRP systems in scheduling production people, materials and equipment to ensure optimal use of company resources
  • On-boarding and off boarding processes of all production team members with the approval of the Director of Global Operations
  • Assist Human Resources with respect to job postings, interviewing, hiring process, performance reviews, discipline issues, schedules, safety, payroll functions, and training
  • Ensuring preventative maintenance and resolution of equipment issues are performed in accordance with the quality management system
  • Driving continuous improvements in people, equipment, processes, products, and the facility though AIT (area improvement teams)
  • Coordination and communication with other departments (materials, engineering, quality, and operations)
  • Minimizing and resolving all quality issues while working in conjunction with the quality department
  • Launching of new equipment, processes, and training for business development activities
