Description:

The Production Supervisor main responsibility is to support the Manufacturing Manager within the Operations organization. The Manufacturing Production Supervisor works to ensure that production schedules are met by working with planning, inventory, production, engineering, and shipping. Mega Fluid Systems is looking to fill a hands‐on supervisory position overseeing the production floor. This position resides at our headquarter location in Tualatin, OR. SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The ideal candidate has formal or informal manufacturing engineering experience (either through education or

experience). A strong “process” mindset is key: this role not only owns the supervisory aspects of the line, but productivity and growth attributes as well. It is critical that the candidate be able to turn engineered vision into implemented reality. It is paramount that the right candidate have an eye for minimizing waste, improving worker ergonomics, and spotting opportunities to mistake‐proof processes. Key skills and abilities also include:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with an engineering perspective.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, engineering change orders, and BOMs.
  • Not afraid to adopt a hands‐on approach and learn (and perfect) assembly techniques.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and problem‐solving skills.
  • Excellent teamwork, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork component with a desire to win and succeed.
  • Solid coaching, mentoring, and motivation skills are essential.
  • Supervisory‐level understanding of Oregon labor laws.
  • Firm understanding of OR‐OSHA regulations and impacts to the workplace.
  • Experience in building resource models for direct labor and equipment.
  • Prior hands‐on experience with 5S, poke‐yoke implementation, and Kaizen events.
  • Active previous use of ERP/MRP systems.
  • Solid understanding of change control and ECO/ECN processes.
  • Strong MS Office skills are required with an emphasis on higher‐level Excel use.
  • Action‐oriented with a strong emphasis on closure and implementation.

REQUIREMENTS

All candidates must have a firm background in the skills and abilities referenced above. In addition, candidates for

consideration will also have:

  • A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience leading personnel is preferred.
  • Continued education in business, engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • Candidate must have the ability to sit, stand, walk, and bend, occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • This is a non-remote direct shift-support position and must be physically present at start of shift through end of shift with exception of approved PTO; however, due to the extended nature of the operation, some work hour flexibility is required.

Swing Shift: Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-2:30a

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will supervise up to two‐shift teams to manufacture and integrate a variety of components and tools used to convey chemicals and slurries at the end user’s site. The range of machined parts and integrated assemblies is quite diverse, from simple chemical panels to complex tools comprised of mechanical and electrical integration with full I/O and logic systems. These products range from repeatable builds to fully customized R&D tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform general clerical duties to support the Manufacturing Manager
  • Approve employee timecards in ADP and identify / resolve discrepancies
  • Identifies the needs of manufacturing and ensures consistency through training between the development of individual skills and the needs of the unit
  • Work with Build Leads to understand priorities and help them resolve issues to stay on track (WIP edits, redlines, material shortages, etc.)
  • Ensure that build areas are equipped with the tools necessary to complete assigned tasks
  • Participate in short and long-term planning aligned with goals set by the Manufacturing Manager
  • Close interaction and coordination with planning, purchasing, engineering, program management and other internal stakeholders
  • Assist in interpreting product drawings, BOMs and engineering requirements
  • Anticipate, address and resolve production problems
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of department processes and work to improve processes
  • Be an expert using Bluestar, D365 (AX), production reports, etc. to facilitate Manufacturing and may be cross-trained to support Supply Chain system level functions as needed.
  • Ownership of product quality and process improvements to strengthen this attribute
  • Ability to assist in determining capacity requirements and formulate production plans from data
  • Coordinate work instruction enhancement and engineering change requests
  • Able to identify process constraints and formulate/implement plans to mitigate them
