Description:
Education/Experience
- University Degree, College Diploma or an equal combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience with a minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory position Or an acceptable combination of education and work experience
- Safety training
- Leadership training
- Tool inventory
- 5S training
- Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Practical knowledge and experience of Lean Manufacturing techniques

Accountabilities
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results
- Motivate team members through the setting of clear expectations
- Ensure teams are in place as required
- Follows up when employees do not report to work
- Handles timecard approvals and time off requests by utilizing the ADP system
- Prepares and delivers employees annual performance reviews and makes recommendations on wage reviews
- Participate in interview, testing and hiring process for relevant positions as required
- Ensures safety equipment is being worn by team members and in compliance with safety regulations
- Ensures when safety issues arise, they are dealt with in a timely manner
- Work through any other HR-related activities with Human Resources Director as required
- Ensures team is working efficiently
- Working towards weekly, monthly and quarterly targets
- Advises Manufacturing Director of any foreseeable issues
- Ensures issues that affect employees’ attitude are being handled
- Responsible for completing the hiring process and being the first point of contact for new hires on their first day
- Make recommendations to the Maintenance Manager on equipment maintenance and potential capital purchases
