Description:

Production Support Coordinator
The Production Support Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations at the base by handling a wide range of administrative tasks. From coordinating roster coverage and preparing performance reports for management, to liaising with central departments on matters such as ID and payroll, and communicating with the airport to relay important notices to teams – this role is diverse and dynamic. No two days are the same, offering a variety of challenges and opportunities to keep the base running seamlessly.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

You will serve as the first point of contact for any base-related queries, directing individuals to the appropriate manager or team as needed. Key responsibilities include managing the team roster to ensure adequate engineering coverage, tracking overtime, shift swaps, and leave, while escalating any concerns that could impact the maintenance schedule. You will report overtime and sickness to the central payroll team, ensuring accuracy in pay. Additionally, you will support base recognition and engagement initiatives, such as organising social events, and compile performance reports for base management, including man-hour availability, defect resolution, and stores performance. You’ll be expected to identify and recommend improvements in departmental processes, maintain strong relationships with central service functions (ID, payroll, HR), manage the ordering and distribution of uniforms and PPE, and effectively communicate relevant airport regulations and guidelines.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO DO THE ROLE:

The ideal candidate will have strong written and spoken English and German language skills, along with exceptional organisational and administrative abilities, taking a methodical and structured approach to tasks. Previous experience within an airline operations environment is essential, as well as effective interpersonal and communication skills. A high level of attention to detail and strong written skills are crucial. The role requires confidence in influencing and challenging both internally and externally, along with a high degree of personal and professional flexibility. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, is also required.
