Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the production and installation team. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Ability to resolve team conflict as an empathetic leader.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues; strong problem-solving ability is essential.
- Interpretation of assembly instructions, blueprints, CAD drawings, and schematics.
- Manage shipping, receiving & inspection of raw materials and finished components.
- Ability to use hand & power tools, including table saws.
- Maintain a clean and organized production floor, enforcing safety protocols and guidelines.
- Manage quality assurance throughout the entire department.
- Monitor project timelines, keeping all projects on track and ensuring production & shipping deadlines are met.
- Supervise packaging, crating & shipping of finished projects/components.
- Collaborate with team members to implement process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Always ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Assist in the installation of projects on-site as required, providing leadership and guidance to the installation team.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role, with proven leadership experience.
- Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to efficiently manage workload and resources.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to troubleshoot issues.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for record-keeping and data entry.
- Physical strength and stamina required to lift 30 lbs.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent color visualization.
- Accuracy in both imperial and metric measurements.
- Previous cabinet work or finish carpentry experience would be considered an asset.
- Carpenter certification and cabinet making certification would be considered an advantage.
- Flexibility to work overtime as projects/tasks/clients require.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other related software.
